Market Odds
The Market Odds module allows users to blend betting market information with the Massive Data model using a slider for weighted projections.
#
How It Works
- Ensemble approach: Slider mixes market odds with MD model projections
- 1 GW horizon: Actual market odds typically only available for next gameweek
- Future data: Beyond 1 GW, market data is deduced rather than actual odds
- Real-time updates: Hourly updates allow the tool to reflect latest betting market movements
#
Best Use Cases
- Personal preference: You may just feel more confident using this dataset
- Hedging your bets: Rather than going all in on the Massive Data or Market Odds projections, you can hedge between both
- Single GW decisions: Free Hit, dead-end scenarios, XI selection
- Second opinion: Strong validation tool for long-term planning
- Last-minute changes: Captures market reaction to team news
Note
Deduced future data: Player level market data usually only exists one GW ahead. This means future data has to be deduced and thus it can't factor role changes or penalty taker duties naturally over the horizon like the Massive Data model can
