# Free Model

The Free Model is the projection system available to all users without subscription. It provides expected points (EV) using a simpler algorithm and shorter outlook than the Massive Data Model.

The model is useful to get familiar with FPL analytics concepts and as a taster to see if the full model may be of interest.

# vs Massive Data Model

• Simpler algorithm: Uses a reduced dataset and less advanced modelling techniques
• Accuracy: Slightly less accurate but still a solid baseline
• Horizon: Short-term planning horizon (3 GWs)
• Core solver capabilities: Does not have access to full solver capabilities
• Accessibility: Free vs subscription-based
